The upper Hiwassee runs offer class 2 and 3 rapids as well as glorious mountain scenery. The lower portion begins at Gee Creek State Park and is a gentle relaxing float through beautiful farmland.

The possibility of an overnight stay at Gee Creek State Park as well as caving in the Star Mountain Cave makes this an incredibly diverse adventure.
